    2018 ACEG Science and technology progress award went to 243 projects

    ACEG convened an assessment meeting the other day for the 2018 annual “Science and technology progress award”. The meeting was organized by the ACEG Technology Center and attended by a reviewing committee composed of experts from the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-rural, the Provincial Department of Communications and the Provincial Department of Water Resources, as well as ACEG''s subsidiaries and functional units.
       
    Nomination for the "Science and technology progress award" started from December 2018, and was completed through ACEG''s CES information management system. According to the Appraisal Methods for ACEG, Science and Technology Progress Award, The Reviewing Committee has finally announced 243 out of 278 projects win the Award after processes of listening to the first trial reports, appraising, voting, presenting opinions; publicity for seven days, re-confirming concerning the comments received and each experts of the Committee signed the announcement, among those awarded, 2 projects represented by "Whole set of key construction technology research and application for low-pylon cable-stayed bridges " won the first place; 8 projects represented by "Technical regulations on reverse engineering construction" (DB34/T 5079-2018) (chief editor of landmark) won the second place; 54 projects represented by "Glass fiber prestressed bolt anchorage structure / its loading device and loading method (invention patent)" won the third place and 179 projects represented by "An inverse beam-wall and beam-column connection system (utility model patent)" won the fourth place.
       
    In recent years, ACEG has attached great importance to science and technology progresses and strengthened efforts for the building of technology centers and national post-doctoral scientific research workstation platforms and got them recognized by the state authorities; and actively organized a series of prospective major programs of scientific research works and increased the investment for science and technology research and tried to build an innovation system with the enterprise as the main body; market oriented; a combination of production and research and actively make ACEG to play a key role in science and technology progresses in the architecture industry and up to present, a large number of standards, building methods, patents, provincial industry progress prizes in science and technology progresses have been achieved, ACEG''s independent innovation level and core competitiveness have been thus greatly improved.
